depends on what ur looking for. the cbr sits lower so it is better if ur too short of the r6. also its about 12 lbs. lighter than the r6 so it can accelerate a little faster. so the cbr would most likely win in a straight shot race. but they both top at about 170. the biggest thing that the 2007 r6 has that the cbr doesnt is the slipper clutch. so u can down shift faster without ur back end sliping out. so in a course style race the r6 takes turns beter and u can come out of the corners faster.

if you're curious of which bike is better, look for sport rider magazine (may issue) and you'll find the answer to your question. good luck!

It depends, the honda is more comfortable to ride, and is a great starter bike. if you are an experianced rider and need a little more power to please you, wheelies, stoppies etc go with the r6. the honda is hard to pull up above 60 mph, while the r6 will wheelie at 75 mph effortlessly. the honda turns well at high speed on or off the throttle, while the r6 has to be throttled in all high speed turning, more of a race bikefeel. so cbr for the average joe, r6 for more experianced riders. i work for a bike shop in phx az and do a lot of mods for customers. i get to test them before and after the work is done, so i have a good feel on most of the new bikes.

magazines etc. seem to like the honda overall, except for high level racing where the r6 having more of its power being higher in the rpm may give it some advantage, of course this means the honda is better/more user friendly on the street.
