I have a 2005 rincon with a couple of problems. My rincon used to feel like it's tranny slipped when going full throttle in 3rd gear. I found out that the oil pump had a bad o ring installed at the factory. That was covered under my warranty. But lately I have had a problem with it grinding when putting it into drive. I was told that my gearshifter needed adjusted. The dealer told me that if the idle was set too high or the choke was on it would cause this. He also told me that if the adjustment didnt work that the work to fix it would not be covered under warranty. I dont think this is very good of honda. If anyone has had the problem and had it fixed under warranty, please let me know.

Shift Issue:
It's preety simple to figure out! Your cable needs to be adjusted they do stretch. I have to be honest we own 3 rincons and we have never had NO problems with this type of thing.

Idle to high simply back it off, high idle in anything is going to cause a grinding or surging noise going into gear.

You sound like you should have a professinal adjust your quad before you damage something!

Our Rincons are bullet proof, we would never ride anything else.
