| I will be moving to Canada from Germany and would like to import my 1998 900S (900 cc and 80 horsepower). Can anyone tell me if it would, without any engine changes, pass the Transport Canada (or US) standards, or will I be force to make changes to the bike? Second, any idea what insurance premiums will be in the Greater Vancouver area (ball park). THANKS.

| | Take it apart and bring it across as "salvage". That should solve your problem. |

| | there's no need to disassemble the bike and bring it across as "salvage." canada has the most lax emissions standards in the world for motorcycles. european bikes had catalytics way before we did. as well, some people in town have made quite the lucrative business out of importing japanese and european bikes with little or no changes......if anything....we ditch the crappy european intake restrictors and suffocating exhaust pipes as soon as they're off the boat. best of luck to you! |
