I'm 6'2" too, feels a little small but on the other side - easy to work with on twisty rd. ) So if you are not planing long travels could be ok.

you are too tall but you dont weigh enough, i think. By your height alone you should get at least a 750 but your light so it would probably work

Buying a larger displacement Monster won't make any difference due to almost identical distances from seat to ground, seat to foot pegs, and seat to handlebars. I'm 6'3" 170lbs and am very satisfied with my Monster.

I edit a motorcycle magazine, but i don know how well you want to take my opinion. If you are on your open liscence then I would suggest something in the suzuki range, they would suit a taller rider, although with your weight, you may find the bike controlling you and not the other way around. The ducati monster is a more upright position and being tall you may find you are cramped and, trust me, your legs will not like a long ride. If your after a Ducati, then 620 SS or a 749 would be ok.

Hello Jim,

I think that you will find that, at your height, your legs will hit the front of the cutaway on the tank.

You might also find the seat more uncomfortable than most people would. The seat is uncomfortable for most people, but such an effect may be exagerated by your height.

I could only suggest taking a Monster 620 for a test ride.

Regards,

Matt
