I mostly ride on uncrowded hwys and run at about 70 to 85 mph steady. Sometimes, I kick up to 10K RPM to get some fun but my gas mileage doesn't get worse than 50mpg. (Bandit 600S 2000)

I'm 53 and have a 2001 Bandit B6s and a 2003 Burgman 650. I put a jet kit and titanium can on the Bandit. My mileage is always between 48 and 54 mpg.
It is a great value.

City driving is approx 40mpg including excruciatingly looong warm-up times every time the bike has been standing for more than an hour in temps bet 70-80. All highway driving is approx 50mpg at 75-80mph. Hope this helps....

I have had a 600s from 2003 and it has been good to me. This bike gets around 45mpg on average. It is a little heavy for its seat hight, and I changed the front sprocket for more tork. Keep in mind it has four carbs and it does need to warm up! Ride safe!Have fun!
