| I own an 03 220 with a steely 10oz flywheel weight/fmf narly pipe and I
bought the bike to ride wheelies.Yes in second no problem, remember it's a six speed.third takes a physical yank or clutch work.I have ridden wheelies from 1st through 6th but in 6th your doing close to sixty five miles per hour and have little to no torque to maintain balance so its sketchy to say the least
I prefer to ride slow 1st 2nd and 3rd gear wheelies up down and around corners off road! A 220 will never have the torque of a big bore to simply roll the throttle in third but it will make you look like a hero in the slow to semi fast stuff.Im currently suffering from mega torque withdrawls and am buying a ktm 450exc but will keep the 220 its been way to good to me to discard. hope that helps john

| the kdx 220 has really good power for doing wheelies. in 2nd it stands up with no effort, also in 3rd as well but in 3rd you must lean forward a little and then roll on the throttle.
