Hey, i bought a 2007 Phazer GT, i have had problems with icing of the hole in the tunnel. We built side kits of alluminum to fix this (you can buy them for a hundred bucks, or make them for 20) and also put hand guards and the front tool kit. Our main problem is that the reverse wont always work. We put a new servo (electric reverse system) in, and that didnt solve it. A spacer was also put in the secondary clutch for more belt deflection to make it shift easier, didnt solve it. A new instrument pod was installed, also to no help. So if anyone else has seen these problems, please reply. We feel that the servo is not shifting in the transmission, it is stuck inbetween drive and reverse. To make the sled operate, you need to physically shake it to make it shift. PLease reply if you have seen or experienced any of this.
P.S. ours overheats just like everyone else's. We want some heat exchangers on the running boards...maybe next year.

i have an fx and the reverse does the same thing and the reverse light blinks at you all you have to do is give it throttle and if that doesn't work turn off the machine and start it again works all the time. and the overheating problem i have the same thing but it only happens when i pull stuff behind the sled.

I have a Mtn Lite and mine does this when I dont come to a full stop, or if Im kinda on a hill. Once I rock the sled it goes right in. I have Never had any issue with overheating. Only once I thought the track was hot cause I had been going down an Icy road... In the Powder it goes far better than I can ride. I get alot of looks from the croud in the Yellowstone area. I going to get one more!!!!!

I have a venture lite that does this also. I can shake the vehicle and sometimes this works. It fails to change from drive to reverse after icy conditions and sometimes on hills. Does anyone know if Yamaha is doing anything about this, and where to get help with it?

Hey Kevin I and 3 of my friends bought 07 phazers 3 fx'x and 1 GT all 4 sleds have the over heat problem we had our dealer call Yamaha and send us free of charge the fans to cool the rad. Same problems with the reverse we all have to shake the machine for it to go into gear. Yamaha recalled the sleds for the ice build up problem they will give you snow guards for free to correct this problem
