| Ok...now that I have bought this monster I find that it is just a tad to tall. I know I can lower it with lowering rods. How do they work? How do they affect the handling? Will I damage the bike over the long haul by placing too much stress on the suspension system? Will the bottom of the bike bottom over bumps?

| Basically what you'll need is a set of lowering links. They will normally give you a 1.5 or 3 inch drop depending on what hole you use. To level the bike out, you'll need to either strap the front end of raise the fork tubes up to compensate. On the wife's 06 14 we did a 1.5 in back and 1 inch up front. Gives the bike a more stable feel to the road but you do give up a little in the handling department. No issues with bottoming out (headers into the ground) but I always caution her about going hard over big speed bumps.
