| I just bought a 2007 MXZ 1000. I have 200 miles on it. Rides like a dream but the power is lacking for top end right now. Will it improve as time goes on, reving at 8100-8200rpm at ~90mph. Advise

| I have the same machine, make sure your clutch weights are adjusted properly for your altitude. Should have 4 adjustments on the clutch with settings from 1 - 6.
Mine is set at 3 and I can run 160km/h all day at 7900 RPM in moderate powder conditions. About 165-170km/h on hardpack.
I was told the ignition timing on the sleds is also retarded until after the first 10 hours. Then is is advancd to where is should be. I noticed a bit of a difference in my machine after the 10 hours.
