I own an eu2000i and my house is wired to be used with a generator. I have a transfer box with a 20 amp twist type plug connection. How can I attach or what adapter do I need to use my eu2000i with the 20 amp twist plug. My house is all natural gas so all I really need to run is a few lights when the power goes out...this unit should have plenty of power if I can figure out the setup. Thanks!

What I'm currently doing is connecting my eu2000 through the main because I am not yet connected to the utilities. I made an adapter with a junction box and a (in my case) 30 amp twist connector outlet and a short 120 VAC cord. I plug the 120 VAC cord into the Honda and plug in the cable going to the house (in your case the transfer box). Since my 30 amp outlet is for 240 I had to choose one Hot side so only half of my house circuits are connected (in case you don't know with 240 you have Hot, Neutral, Hot, and Ground). At least I have lights and most outlets. It will not, however, run my gas furnace. If I want to run everything then I connect the 240 plug (coming from the house) directly into my 5000 watt generator that as 240 output. With the eu2000 I'm able to run lights, computers, a TV and DVD recorder and a couple of battery chargers all at once (I have to turn some things off to make coffee or run the microwave). Good luck!
