| I bought two new 2002 3-pass sea doo GTX-DI. After two summers of engine maintaince light problems I traded one in for a 2004 GTX 4TEC. The 4 tech seems OK but the 2nd GTX-DI with 101 hours put a rod thru the block. Seems the seal for the drive shaft let water in the hull which seems to have gotten into the engine. This is the second time the seal has let go. The sea doo dealer tells me the 950 engine is noted for this, but there is nothing the manufacturer is willing to do. Do you have any suggestions? Just to compare the two 1994 yamaha waverunners we own are still going strong. Seems for us sea doo is more "show" than go.
