is there any way of making this seadoo quicker

yes there is a simple way to do this. The 2002 GTX DI and many other newer Sea Doo modles have an opas system that helps it steer at low speeds. these are the fins that move on the side of the craft when you turn the boat. these fins are designed to retrack at top speeds but thay do not. this creates extra drag on the boats top speed.. What you should do is push up the opas fins and insert a cut piece of 1/2 pvc plastic pipe. this will keep the opas system springs in the up position.
This will increese top end speed. (No bottom drag) you can also buy kits that remove the system all together. remember you will lose a little steering ability at slow speeds. We race off shore in California, all my friends and I have done this little trick. (Good Luck and keep riding)
