I have had the MSX 140 for a year now. Put on 75 hrs in first season. Only had to replace the starter after the first month covered by the warrantee.

I have twelve hours on mine and Knock on wood, I have not had any problems yet. The only thing with mine was the screws for the impeller cover came out and the cover made one heck of a racket hitting the impeller shaft. I took it back to the dealer and they put the screws back in and explained that there was a recall on this model and they were only given a few weeks to replace the parts and must not of tightend the screws good. They did tell me that the whole engine had to be pulled to do the recall. Could they not of done the recall on yours? I really do not know but it is a suggestion. Since it is under warranty, is there another place you could take it to? I know down in Conroe, there must be a bunch of boat repair places. I know that is out of your way, but someone else might be able to help you. Good luck.

My MSX 140 has been in and out of the shop since we bought it Jun 03. It is been in the shop this time for over a month. It has NEVER run right. They have done all the recalls and it runs worse than before. We will never buy Polaris again. We are ready to see a Lemon law attny.

i also have a 2003 MSX 140. i have owned mine for 17 months and has been in the shop for 5 months and continues to be there. i have recently found out that they have over 7 recalls on them and am extremely disappointed because i have paid over 2000 to get it fixed and have know found out that the parts that i paid for are the recall parts. i am know extremely mad and am going to speak to polaris, the insurance company whom blaim me for the problem, and the dealership whom sold me the watercraft. by the way my water censur went bad after 8 hours and know my polaris has been in the shop for 5 months because my starter, stater, flywheel, and other small parts with in that part of motor have been damaged. i am extremely upset and am in the process of getting all this taken care of. i would love hear what your problems with the wastercraft have been and what you have done about it
