| I need help. I see that in the owners book and online that my 2001 gts has an optional speedometer. The dealers that i talked to said that as long as I have the engine model #5521 that it would work. I do ! now they are saying that it will not work. I want something to put in the empty space on my so called dash. Does anyone have any help. Even after market stuff will be considered... Thanks Matt

plus labor to have it properly installed, and then after all that, it is not all that accurate. |

Yes you can put speedometer, but do you really needed? I've just bought 2001 GTS with out it, and wanted to do the same, but when I rode it, I never looked there. In order to put speedometer in it, you'll need to spend around $700. Just for that? I don't think it is worth it. But if you want, you'll need to but speedometer, change the plate on the back and wire it. So you decide if you need it. But hey, either way it is a good jet ski, and is great fun.
