| | I have a GTX 4-TEC SC with about 10 hours on it. I have broken in the engine slowly up to about 8 hours. I can only reach top speeds around 58-59 mph and thats at about 7800 rpms. Should I be concerned about the rpms at this speed, and what happened to going 65 mph that everyone talks about? |

| I have a 2 month old GTX 4-TEC SC with 20 hours. I found that it helps to use Mobil 1 oil and Z-Max oil treatment. My ski has run solid speeds of 62MPH, but it takes glass water to make that happen. I would also ask the service tach about that high RPM. Mine seems to top out at about 7400 RPM wide open, amd that has come up about 200 rpm since the break in of about 8 hours.

| | My family's GTX SC does 64 tops with 20 hrs on it. Your top speed will increase as you break the engine in, but 58-59 seems pretty slow |

PS we didnt really break it in right we maxed it out the first hour.. thats why it runs so hot |

| The real speed of the supercharged is 61 MPH stock. Not 65 MPH.The rpm at this speed is 7600 rpm.More than that you have a pump problem. You can gain 1.5 MPH with a 2.5 degrees wedge and a WORX intake grate.

| I have the same problem. I took it in and they found nothing wrong - although they tested in a tank. I was told maybe its the supercharger clutch - but that would cost more to check. Hence, I am stuck with a lemmon. If you find anything out, please let me know!

| I rode a 2004 and 2006 RTX. MY 2003 supercharge went 61 tops. When I rode the 2004 - same bike - it not only was faster - about 3 mph on flat water - it was actually faster out of the hole. The rtx was evil faster!. Note, we rode together for 3 days, I believe that the real problem is a supercharger clutch or prop - which the dealer said was good.
