i am looking at buying my boss's 2000 zr 600 efi... it will need a new track after about a year of riding. otherwise it is in great condition with 5,300 miles on it he is asking $2000... is it worth it? hows the gas mileage? i have a 1995 polaris XLT 600 triple triple currently is this a superior sled? and is it worth buying for $2000

All though this is a wonderful sled with plenty of power my answer is No Sir, i don't believe so. If it has that many miles, and the track isnt in the best shape your gonna need a new one and those aren't cheap. Unless this sled is MINT, you would be a fool to make this purchase. I', not one to talk considering i buy used sleds too, but when you buy a used machine all your doing is buying other peoples problems. All in all i jus bought a 2001, Zr 600 efi with 3,000 mile, and its mint i mean MINT, no fading, cracks, rips in the seat nothing. I paid 1,500. But if you have your heart set on this machine more power to you and good luck.

P.S. Gas mileage is good, depending on how hard i beat on it i get between 20-25 miles to the gallon
