What kind of motor oil do I put in this a 2002 triumph bonneville? Does it have to be special motorcycle oil or can it be regular Mobil1 triple synthetic 15W 50 oil?

Hi Joe, I have a 2001 Bonny & you are ok using semi or fully synthetic oil which meets specification AP1 SH - such as Mobil 1 Racing 4T 15W/50. This is as specified in the official owners handbook.
Ride safe,

You should not use ordinary automotive synthetic oil. This will cause clutch slippage and possible damage. You can either use the factory recommended Mobil1 for bikes or the 20-50 for V-twins. For a cheaper alternative, try Rotella or Delo synthetics for diesel and fleet engines. It still meets motorcycle standards but is very inexpensive - sold by the gallon.
