| The step by step proceedure is in the Suzuki Service manual chaper 9. You can get a fairly inexpensive version on Ebay if your intrested. Do a "Burgman" search.....there's always a bunch on there for both models.

| Get the Shop manual from your dealer for about $40. It is worth the money and gives complete instructions with diagrams. You have to position the motorcycle on the center stand so that the rear tire hangs over the edge of a curb or something in order to remove the tire under the rear fender. Otherwise, you have to get some sort of lift to put it on, but you still need the rear wheel to hang over the edge in order not to have to remove the rear fender. Remove the cover from the gear casing, disconnect the parking brake cable, then the brake caliper, then the cotter pin, then the axle nut, then the axle, then the spacer, then the wheel and the collars. Reverse the process to install it. Use a little wheel bearing grease on the o-ring and wheel. The rear axle nut should be tightened to 72.5 foot pounds.
