| | I'd like to get a scooter for fuel economy but am not familiar with motocycles or scooters in the least. I've found a 35 mph scooter is really a road hazard and the 49 cc engine is not designed to go over 35 mph w/o much engine wear. I've also been advised to stay with the big three since repairs will be required at some point in time and these are serviceable nation wide. I've looked at a Lifan as well as the Yamaha Vino 125. Can anyone give guidance to a novice in the scooter world. |

| Have the Vino 125 and very happy with speed (with windshield--see my report of MORE SPEED, acceleration, overall handle ability. Great machine for it's price.

| Amen, on the cheap Chinese scooters. I had a TANK, 150cc and it was totally undependable....fix or repair daily...lol I have a friend who also owns one and she has had constant problems with it. Do not pay $1395 at a dealer for a Chinese scooter like I did and then be disappointed when the paying another thousand bucks will get you the best in dependability and constantly available parts with a good warranty, including labor. |
