Any Burgman 650 Rider that switched over from a Honda Silverwing or vise versa? Impressions? Comparisons? Contrasts? Just Curious.

Yes, the Honda is junk compaired to the Burgman. Honda= belt drive, one front break, smaller wheels and handle bar mirrors. Check out the Burgman and don't forget to look at the gear drive!

Very few people have enough miles on the Burgman to give it a thumbs up for reliability. Anyone that has recorded 10,000 miles has had theirs in the shop for problems. Many people have Silverwings with over 10k miles and no problems. Though I like a few mods on the Suzuki, I would hold off untill someone makes it to 10k and reports no problems. I have over 8k on my Silverwing and it has been flawless.

Silverwing is a nice bike but for the money and power, the Burgman will smoke the SW. Personnal, I work for HAM and I still bought the Burgman 650!!!

The Burgman is superior but they are both a joy to ride. I had a Silverwing for 3 years, only 2000 miles. After I traded it in the dealer said that it needed a new belt. The Burgman has plenty of power for two-up, lots of lockable storage.
Burgman has no bright, visible color options and has a useless option on the ignition to leave the tailights on which leaves you with a dead battery if you aren't careful. The Silverwing offers ABS brakes and a far superior helmet clip as opposed to an awkward, archaic helmet cable on the Burgman. Other than that, I love it!
