i have a 2003 prairie 650 with the mikuni carbs. when it is cold i pull the choke full on and it fast idles for only about six seconds. then the idle drops and the engine stalls. i have to sit on it and keep it running until it warms up enough. is there any way of setting the fast idle to stay on until the engine warms up?

Hi, probably your washers under the choke lever are due to be replaces, so the lever gets tight again, i had the same problem. Hope it helps

Are you sure it's not your choke lever that doesn't stay open ? I had that problem, and i had to change the little washers under the choke lever screw, hope it helps...
