I have a 1976 Skidoo T'NT Everest 340, The engine starts easily and idles but If I give it gas for more than a second it loses its power and stalls unless I let go of the throttle....Any suggestions? Please e-mail me at bierschwaled@aol.com

Could be the high speed jet too closed or blocked. On the left of the carb, tighten lightly to bottom and loosen one and a half turn. Or take it out and shoot air and reinstall.

yes i had the same problem with my 1976 olympique check if there are air bubbles in the fuel line that will not let enough gas in and wont let it power up

You my friend have a clogged air jet in you carb. remove the carb, undo the float bowel, this will expose the main jet, float assembley etc. Next to the main jet there is a small brass jet located down inside the small hole next the the main. You will require to use a very small flat screw driver to remove it. Clean out the brass jet very carefully, insure you can see through it. Then place it back in. Happy sledding

my 76 tnt 440 did the same thing the simplest thing to try worked on mine... i put a little bit of regular gas and shook the sled back and forth to get the gas shakin up and get the oil mixed in it will smoke alot but you have to run it at full throttle to clean the carb and try put new plugs in it too
