| I am going to invest my money into a new quad and i have narrowed it down to the Honda TRX400EX and the Suzuki Z400. I am interested to see what you think would be the better machine for my needs. I ride mostly trails with some pretty steep hills some mud and some creek crossings. I am 5'10 135 pounds. Thanks for reading I look forward to see your opinion.

| well if ya ask me id go with the Honda, performance wise they're both pretty equal but in the long run Honda always outlasts the competition by building quality made products that can go a life time without maitnence literaly, my neighbor has one of the first of honda's mini bikes its about 40 yrs. old and to this day it runs like a charm. so go with da honda

| Casey has a point if your plan to upgrade later on or buying a new bike In less than like 8 years then just get which ever you like how it looks better, but if its the only bike u ever plan to get then go with the honda, i have a 1980 ATC and it still runs great till today and ive put it through heck and back

| I think the 400ex will do what need it to do Ive been threw some fairly heavy mud and creeks are no problem and the reverse makes it a great trail rider and it has plenty of power.

| | get the Z400. If you put the same performance parts on a 400EX and a Z400, the Z400 would smoke it. |

| | GO FOR THE 400EX there a really good trail bike for sure and i have a 2001 400ex and it gets me thought alot of mud hole i didn't think it would make. and a honda motor you can beat the livin **** out of it. it would take more then the z400 would. |

| 400ex all the way, my '04 has only gotten me stuck thrice...which is GREAT for where i live lol. Honda preformance kicks ***, so good luck, and good riding to you (and if you choose honda, i say "WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!")
