| | I am looking at a Hawkeye because of the size but I do a lot of trail riding.I want to know about the performance on trails and mud. Also the tires don't seem to be very aggressive. Can you buy others. They seem like an odd size? |

| Trail riding is great, but smaller trails may be a little harder. Since the Hawkeye is a 4x4 bike, it may be a bit harder to handle on narrow trails. It can handle them, but I would be careful to watch so limbs and branches don't stratch it. The Hawkeye does great in the mud. My neighbor has several jumps set up through mud and whatnot. I've pulled his 350 Kawasaki out several times, with little effort on the hawkeye's part. Honestly, I cannot give you any information concerning the tires, they were agressive enough to match my trails, and I haven't looked into changing them. The only thing I can tell you is that there is chains that can be placed on the tires that provide traction is snow and icy terrain.

| I own a Hawkeye, it is the best thing i have ever bought because i go trail riding 3 times a week with my friends who have 500cc and up, it can keep up with them. A+ for trai riding, its a little too heavy for tracks!! Now mud is a different story, the regular tires for the hawkeye just plain suck in my opinion. That's why i got 25in gators and now sometimes i have to tow my friend with a suzuki kingquad 700 out of the mud! So with good tired i would give mud an A+ too. Overall the Hawkeye is comfortable, dependable, tough, not so powerful, but in all a great ride. This machine is great for anything except speed!!
