| i need a atv in the 250-350 range for good value, and it needs to be able to climb some step hills and do a little mudding along with small to medium work. Shaft drive, disc brakes, and good lights are preferd. Would a hawkeye fit this nicely?

| Yes. This would fit you. I would get the Hawkeye 4x4 if you like mud and do alot of hill climbing. I have been told the hawkeye 4x4 can pull the 500 polaris sportsman acroos gravel when the sportsman's in park and the hand brake is on. I own a 2005 Polaris Sportsman 500 and am shortly am going to buy a black Hawkeye 4x4. POLARIS IS THE WAY TO GO!!!

| Like Mike said, get the 4x4 model. It has nice lights but no high beam. It also has a receiver hitch that you can mount a trailer ball with. The Hawkeye 4x4 is very nice, the transmission manages low range and high range very well. It actually rides nicer than my 2006 Sportsman 500.
