Bought Arctic Cat 400 auto. Runs great high clearance for traction and climbing but is sluggish on the open road and gets less than 20 mpg on gas. Had it re-jetted with no change. Is this normal?

not sure on mpg but did install a EPI clutch kit, dynoport jet kit, and K+N on my brothers and made a major difference. It let it rev-up more before engaging and rev-out more while excellerating and faster top speed. It also now goes faster in 4wheel at the dunes than 2 and never runs out of power and only gets stuck when traction is lost with stock tires. I beleive this motor is de-tuned from a-c and does not rev-up as it should. Which makes sense since it is a 4-valve head which is used by everyone else for more power at higher revs. The best up-grade is the clutch kit for the money with major performance increase. Hope this helps you out.thanks.
