| I have a new outlander 400xt and love it so far. The only thing I don't like is the noise it makes wom-wom-wom is this normal? When I leave off the gas it the noise stops! I only have about 75 miles on it and maybe need to take it back to the dealer and get it check out? Thank for your help>

| Because of how the CVT transmission works you do get a slight different noise a "wom-wom-wom" sound is one way to describe it....i think its kinda cool and I actually quite like it.

| | Wayne- I hear the same noise from my 2005 Outlander XT 400. It's wierd that one can only hear it riding it but bystanders cannot. I believe that it is normal too, but it did get my attention early on. It almost sounds like plastic rubbing on one of the tires. |
