| I have heard comlaints about the front brakes on the 954 being WAY too sensitive for anyone but really experienced riders. Is there a possible way to reduce the rotor size, or to get weaker calipers to prevent accidental overbraking and subsequent crashing? For the stock brakes, people have been saying that its easy to overbrake....well, how hard is "overbraking"? thanks

| I bought my 954RR in march and over braking? i havnt been on a bike in 2 years and have had no problems with the front brakes. They feel very comfortable to me. No complaints with this bike!! as far as replacing the rotors.. well I hope you have a lot of cash to blow. Rotors arent cheap.

| | Jared, I have been riding for over 20 years and I own a 2003 954. I never had a problem with the front brakes. Brakes work fine and the rest of the bike is owesome!!!!!! Jag, By the way I use to live in MD Rockville, I moved to L.A. last year and life is good as it can get for a biker. |

| Have you ridden it? I've got one, the brakes are fantastic. So much feel, so much progressive power and so easy to control.
I've done 10,000 miles on mine and I can confirm what the magazines say, that the Fireblade's brakes are the best in it's class. They really are.
Who's been complaining about them? Could it be jealous Gixxer riders who've no choice but to fit braided lines and change the master cylinder if they want some power and feel?
Ride a 954, try out the brakes and then you too will find all other bike's brakes weak, lacking in bite and feel!
