The lakota is a bit faster because of the weight the bayou has on it. They are both in my opinion very good quads. I guess it is up to what kind of style you enjoy. If you hunt or like to go camping or work with your atv then the bayou is the way to go. But if you like to ride all day on trails and mess around the lakota has a bit more power and is quite peppier than the bayou. If you like the bayou because of the racks,a rack can be put on the back of the lakota. I really like my lakota. Good luck and i hope i helped you out!
