| Hi im 14 about 5'8" and weigh about 115lbs. And I am not afraid of power I am very power hungry. I have had previous experience w/ atvs but not motorcycles. I know that I can Handle the power of this bike. But im wondering if this has enough power so go up sand dunes. or will i absolutely have to have paddles to make it up big dunes. I am also wondering if this bike has enough power for me to grow into it. so when im like 17 or 18 i will still have fun on it. And does it have good enough suspension to liek do motocross and stuff.

| First of all the crf250x is a racing bike. That is why honda came up with it because the xr wan't racing. It wall be in the 125 class. So if you think a 125 2 stroke has enough power 4 u then this bike will 2. My causin has a kfx250 which is basicly same thing but different brands and i like the feel to that a lot more then the 125's. So if you have $6000 its the bike 4 u. I personally have the crf230f

| ok dirtbikes are much much faster than atvs and this bike will have enough power to make it up any sand dunes if you stay on the pipe. i am 15 yrs old, 5'8" and 130 pounds and i ride an xr250 with the pro circuit t4 pipe and i am a hard core trail rider. It takes me up huge dunes, cliffs whatever. My bike has a lot of low end power and that helps going up the big hills but when your doing sand dunes high horse power is better. The crf250x is going to have plenty of peeky horse power, a bit less than the motorcoss version but good enough.
This bike is very bad for motocross because the suspention was set up for roots and rocks and hard trail stuff. It is much too soft for motocross. I think you would be better off getting the regular version of this bike (crf250r). It is lighter, faster, and very good for motocross and sand. |
