I am a big guy with long legs looking for my first bike. Is this a good bike for a bigger guy?

Well, have you sat on one? I think this is a good choice for a first bike. Just enough power, low price and tons of style. I'd say if this bike feels too 'short,' check out the Thunderbird sport model. The seat height is 1.5" higher, but not as narrow as the Bonnie. I sat on both last week, and the T-bird definitely felt taller.

Im a BIG Guy too, 6'3" 255lbs.
I was going to ask this question too, but I went down to the dealer andas the sales man says you just never know until yopu come down and try it on! Like a comfortable pair of shoes.
I tried it it seemed to fit well im torn between this bike & the yamaha V1100. I asked the salesman what the diff was between the speedmaster and the america he said $1,000. & that there may be a cpl of frills more but they are the same bike... Hope that helps

You might want to take a look at the America or Speedmaster. Mechanically, they are very similar, but they have a longer frame and a forward control setup that lets you stretch out more. They still have the classic Triumph look too.

I'm 6'0" 210lbs and the bonnie is amazingly comfortable. The flat seat allows you to change riding positions .Because it's a "standard" bike configuration and not really a cruiser, I get no back strain.

Brian, I am 6' 2" and also have long legs. The bike fits me perfectly.......in a vintage Triumph Bonneville sorta way. You can tailor the bike by changing the bars. I'm preparing to install a new set of bars that will allow me to stretch out a bit on the bike. The seat is long and flat enough to allow the rider to slide front or rear accordingly.
