I purchased a trophy 1200 late last year and I love it. I'd like to get a little throatier sound from the pipes. Any suggestions out there?

Dennis,

I purchased my Trophy in March of this year and have been investigating the same thing. I have talked to a few Trophy owners and have read numerious discussions on Trophy chat sites (Yahoo has a great Trophy owners group). The options seem to range from drilling air boxes and cutting the factory exhaust to aftermarket systems. The one I have decided on is a a pair of slip on cans made by a company named Staintune. The Staintune are supposed to be lighter, better sounding without being significantly louder and are tuned to work with the factory carb jetting. A pair costs $615.00 I'll probably put a pair of these on my Trophy this winter after the Maryland riding season is over. Good luck.

Hey Dennis how far are you from Janeville Wisconsin?

The Triumph Dealer there can help you.

They rework the factory exhaust and you keep the orignal look with better sound.
