Recently my 4 wheeler will no longer go into 4 wheel drive. When the switch is in the 4x4 mode and the rears slip the fronts do not engage and occasionally the neutral light flashes. There also seems to be a load on the battery...its new and will not hold a charge. Related possibly?

Yes it's related because your hubs use electricity to engage and stay engaged.
You've got an electrical problem.
If I run my battery low if doing a lot of winching my hubs will not engage.(Polaris) The neutral light flashing sounds odd and is possibly related must be a short somewere in the wiring
