I recently purchased a '04 KFX700 and there is a low speed spudder between 15 and 20 mph at less than a 1/4 throttle. This is the only problem the quad has, it started about a month after it was purchased new. The dealer service doesn't have a clue what is causing this. Has anyone else had this problem and a solution to fixing it. There are 3 local atv's having this same problem.

Yes, this is a common problem with the 700. It is a minor jetting problem. Thing is, if you have smaller jets for smoother low end, it will run too lean on top end and starve for gas. I noticed my 700 does the sputtering at lower speeds as well. I think it is just something to live with.
My answer is to keep it revved higher and go to a hotter plug.
