How do I reset my flashing belt light. My battery died and when I used the pull start I have no power. The belt light is flashing and needs to be reset.

there is a reset button inside the belt housing that you have to manually reset.just remove the belt housing cover and it will be on the inside, just flip the switch

It is a relatively simple procedure and there are palces on the net to find it. All you are doing is switching some wires around. I am not a mechanic so I am not the one to explain it but it is well worth the money to buy a shop manual and it walks you right through the process. Sometimes you can find the manuals on e-bay really cheap. Look up Kawasaki Prairie on e-bay. Good Luck!!!!

I was told that only the dealer can reset the light, it uses some special computer thing,, and they will charger you big time for it too.. its a service $$$ gimmick...
