| I RIDE AN XR 400 R.I AM THINKING OF GETING A KDK. WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS .WHAT IS FASTER THE KDX 200 OR THE KDX220R? AND HOW WILL THE FASTER OF THE 2 RUN UP AGAINST MY 2003 XR 400? PLEASE E MAIL ME .THANK YOU.LIKE YOUR SITE!

| From what I have heard the 200 is faster than the 220. For some reason kawasaki did something to the 220 which made it slower (or at least no faster) than the 200. The forums on Dirtrider.net can tell you what to do to make the 220 faster. The XR400 will be faster than the KDXs but it depends on what you are using them for. If you are doing tight woods the KDX is the way to go. They handle much better in the woods then the XR400 which is bigger and heavier.
The KLX400 (which is what I ride) is a DRZ400E with green plastic on it. It's heavy in a long NJ tight woods, sandy enduro but the soft suspension hooks up perfect in the PA mountain rock runs. |

| I own a 2000 KDX 220 modified to the limit, to tell you the truth the KDX is the fastest bike in my area, and i raced over 30 to 40 other large bikes. I only lost to a CR500 but that is a racing 500cc engine also modified. Honda or kawasaki...not a hard question def. go for the 220 it has 19 more CC in the bottom end than the 200. PUlls faster with more torque and def. has some balls. One change needed though is rad vavles preerablly carbon fiber adn the gear ratio. any questions you can email me.

| the 220 is faster than than the 200, the only differnce between are the 220 has a bored out engine and comes with an o-ring chain
