I have a 86 concours which tends to run warmer than it used to at lower speeds(40mph) but does not overheat.I changed out the antifreeze, but there was no improvement.I thought that I may change the antifreeze to honda antifreeeze , or change the termastat.

It could be that over the years, fine dirt has accumulated in the cooling core of the radiator. Use a cleaner to soak the radiator (when it is cold) and then hit it with a good rinsing jet of water to blow the crap out of it. You would be AMAZED to see what comes out of it. Radiators accumulate a lot of dirt over time.
