I want to give my 2005 Vulcan 800 bigger sound and a little more power. Any recommendations?

You can get a Vance and Hines aftermarket exhaust system and get a re-jet kit for the carb from them also. Just type this in on any search engine to find what's available. The performance increase will be in the area of 5 to 10 percent. Since the Vulcan 800 is about 54 hp you should end up with 60 hp probably max but that would be more than you think. For example my Honda CB750's were 58 hp but they would have literally walked all over my Vulcan Classic 800. Typical stock Vulcan 800 1/4 mile time is about 13.90 sec, a Honda 750, especially the earlier models could get in the low 12 second range. Figure 1/4 time of a Vulcan 800 at about 89 mph, a Honda 750 was in the area of 103+ mph, so as you can see it could hep to upgrade. However, the earlier cycles did have higher redlines as much as 10500 tach. Newer bikes tend to be in that 8000 redline tach range.

Try the Vance and Hines Cruzers. Awesome sound, deep and has a nice rumble. Sounds like a big bike. This is the closest you will get to a Harley sound with this motor. As for performance, I don't know, I put these on before my bike was broken in so I can't say if it's any quicker. The free flowing pipes should definately add a few horses though.
