| | I plan to buy an '06 KLR and keep hearing about the semi-weak brakes. Has anyone tried installing Braided Stainless Steel brake lines to attempt to remedy this? John |

| Yes, I have just today installed new pads and stainless braided lines. I used a vacuum bleeder and have a hard feel on both brakes. I only put 78 miles on the 06 KLR before today. A fork brace and progressive fork springs, jet kit and a Super Trapp. Puts me onto the bars if I want to stop fast. Handling and engine responce is much better.

| | I installed a 320 mm brake rotor conversion from Dual Star and Braided steel brake lines. What a diference! Cost was about $400, but worth it! |

| John yes the front brake is a little week even when putting on the steel line. some guys change to green pads up front. Or you can buy the upgarde rotor kit for about 230... some thing like that. But note you could be doing a stoppie with the upgrade.
