I have a 1989 Cougar Artic Cat 500cc fan/cooled.After you drive it awhile and then shut off, it will not start again until it cool down.Whats wrong with it???

you need a new fan because you engine is over heating i had the same thing with mine

first check your compression, a rebuilt engine is about 140 compression, mine only has 90 in each and it runs good. once you get under 80 you should rebuild. but you probally just need to mess with your air adjustment screw on your carb if not you prob need them rejeted

might be bad crank seal. get it running and spray starting fluid around the crank at idle and at all gaskets and if you hear it rev up even a little you have a leak there
