| i am interested in buying a 04 ducati 800 supersport, it has been i long time dream of mine to own a ducati, but with the price of one being so outrageous, it was a little tough for me to consider forking over the money. but now that they have began dropping their pride risen prices, i found one that interests me, the 800 supersport. but before i go out and throw down the cash for it, i want to know how it really compares to other bikes, and how much power i get for my buck. is it worth going in debt to have this bike? please any info on this bike would greatly appreiciated, thanks alot

| Ok, is it worth the money? definetelly!
the 800ss is cheap for a "Duck" I just got one for $7.999 and got a $300 discount, thats below some jap rockets. The Duck is in a diferent league, its a attention getter and you fell like a milion bucks on it! The jap bikes are faster no doubt! But the duck sound and functioning is really intoxicating, this bike is very gentle on the power delivery unless you want to really "rip" than it can do that very well also, this bike will make you fall in love all over again, steel braided lines, brembo wheels and brakes, hydraulic clutch and only higher qualitie components than the japs, they are a little more maintenance and more expensive to repair, but they are more rewarding to own, I get thumbs up by people driving cars all day long! If envy could kill! any ways like all sport bikes not very comfortable, if you want comfort get a Monster SR2, the handling is the best of any bike I have tried!
