| | A 125. Proffessional MXer Ricky Carmichael and Freestyle motocrosser Tommy Clowers are 5'5 adults and ride 250's. If a 125 feels too tall; some people get used to it after awhile of riding the bike but if you still feel uncomfortable with the tall bike; you can get lowering links for the suspension, have custom supension work done but would imagine it would be expensiveor the cheaper route would be to shave or cut the seat foam down to lower the seat height. I'm an adult an 5'8" and have a project 89 RM 250 that I'm hoping to get running so I can see what a 250 is like.I plan on cutting the seat foam to lower the seat height a little if I don't get used to it because suspension lowering links or custom suspension modifications to lower the seat height might affect the handling characteristics of the bike to not handle as well as with stock suspension. Cutting the seat down won't do that. You still have a few years of growing and if you have tall parents; you shouldn't have a problem growing into a 125. I hope this helps |
