I'm planning on purchasing a new 08 Sportster. Right now it's a toss up between the 1200 Roadster and the 1200 Customer. My biggest concern between the two is the position of the foot controls. I've always had a mid control bike, but road the Custom with the forward controls on a demo ride and liked it. Just wondering about the long haul and control overall.

Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated.

to tell u the truth i guess it just depends on what kind of riding your going to be doing... over the road well i tell u my 04 1200c does great with the forward controls.... really comfy.... mid controls are better for cornering and all the other things that make the roadster great....

Dual front brakes on the Roadster are nice.
