| | I am planning to convert a 360 degree 4 stroke parallel twin to a 270 (90/270) degree twin. Most of the aftermarket ignition systems use the 'wasted spark' principle so that both cylinders will fire together. On paper it seems that when the leading cylinder fires the trailing cylinder will also fire halfway (approx) up the exhaust stroke, so no problem there. However, when the trailing cylinder fires it appears that the leading cylinder also will fire halfway down the induction stroke. Is this normal or am I missing something? |
