Short of buying new pipes, how can I make my stock exhaust louder?

Be careful in doing this, a fixit site under the gadgets fixit page list this method. With a 2 inch metal hole saw and a wooden dowel, you drill out the weld holding the baffels in and carefully remove them. They have you put the dowel in the exhaust pipe hole in order to center and hold the hole saw in place. Then you drill out the weld. Remove your baffles and then paint the area flat black with BBQ heat paint to dress it up. This gives the pipes a lower louder sound.

Another next step which is not as easy to to gut whats known as the goats belly> you will have to research this.

Another web site list using an old Chrome gold wing exhaust tip pipe by just slipping it over the exhaust pipes end and securing it with a small metal screw in an unseen area. Do web searching and see what you come up with.
