| I bought one of these used from someone who was trying to get it out of his garage. It had been sitting for about a year and so I bought a new battery. The fuel in it was pretty old and it smelled like varnish in the carb.
I tried cleaning the carb out as much as possible, but it still doesn't stay started. It will turn over for a couple of seconds and die.
What is weird, it stays on a lot longer if the bike is leaning on its left side (at about a 45 degree angle) for a lot longer ( about a minute) and can actually pull on the throttle and the wheel moves.. etc
Anyone figure out what causes these machines to die after starting?
I checked the fuel filter (blew right through it).
Thanks,

| | I don't have an answer for you but I was wondering if you have a manual. I just bought a 2004 Dazon Scorpion 125 however it didn't come with a manual. If you have one could you make copies of it and send it to me? I tried to download it from their web site but their file is corrupt and they are in the process of moving. Let me know if you can help me out. Thank. |

| If, while cleaning out the inside of the carb, you did not remove the jets & blow clean them out, I would suggest you try that. It solved the problem in my scooter.
