| had an eton for a very long time and had many problems with it not running or starting... but to me it sounds like you need to drain the tank and start anew with another gas filter... if it's not starting at all mine had a short in the wiring to the key. if its shutting out up hills and when you hit a certain speed its your air... if your engine cuts off after running for a short time it has nothing to do with your gas, your engine is over heating (a notorious problem with mine). i owned one for wuite a while so any questions email me.

| Eton 50 running problems? I have had the same problems with my son's RXL-50. Checked fuel , Plug, Filters, Still would not run right!!!
Then I took the Capactive Discharge Ignition Modual out, Cleaned the connection plugs with electrical contact cleaner, and packed the plugs with Dielectric grease (the grease you use on spark plug boots) to keep out water and dirt. IT HAS NEVER RUN SO GOOD!!!
