| | I am having idle problems with my 1986 Honda Elite scooter. It starts and accelerates fine and I improved the idle, some, by cutting off the limiter tab on the air adjustment screw so I could adjust it, better. I used my Dremel tool with a cut off wheel. I, also, adjusted the throttle adjustment screw. It idles but seems to speed up and slow down, repeatedly, and won't hold a steady idle. The carb is mounted, snugly, against the manifold/engine. I checked and cleaned the gas tank filter. Can anyone offer suggestions as to what the problem might be and how I can stabilize the idle??? I appreciate any suggestions as this is frustrating. |
