not if you just put on cans. you could, but you don't need to.

if you put on a full exhaust system, then you'd want to tinker with the brain. You won't get as much added power with just cans and no ECU changes, but its a Hayabusa, its gonna be fast anyway.

[b]I put on a set of Slip on's for my 2008 Busa', Deff got rid of a **** load of weight and I got an increase of 4% tork... I had put in a Power comander'' Now as it goes'' Cost included on top of the cost of the pipes, I was able to read the power increase and make the fuel adjusmets... Problem'' the people from power comander Dyno'' gave me a plug... for the oxygen sensor.. I plugged it.. not sure if that was a good move?? Im only getting ' 172 mph.. Maybe running rich? I still have the Cats on it.. But the Dyno gives out only what u ask it to configure, Basically what u feed it'. I live in Calif... Now? if I plug the cable ( oxy sensor ) back into the stock pipes, " The oxy sensor should give the computer the info to get into higher altitude's if I go up''? or to smooth out power bands with the catalic convertors... Im going to call the guys at power comander and ask whats up with the by pass plug for the oxy... Bottom line.. Full system ' pipes' or just slip on's, to get the most out of the Bike'' It really should be tuned to the increase or decrease of any power change.. Someone once told me', There's a reason the engineers' bike builders, designers spend the time an money to add to perfecting thier product.. Mine as well use the technology or pay to adjust to make it right..
