| Hello
My 400 '07 auto with 23 hours and 420 km (262 miles) will start with no hesitation but will sputter and stall if left after warm up. It has an auto choke. If I restart it, which it will do with no hesitation, it will stall every time I leave it alone unless I keep gas to the throttle. If riding, and I let off the throttle, it will stall. I only got the thing recently and have no info on past performance. I have been told that these models have problems with the auto choke in cold weather. I have only had it in cold weather. Is that the case, and is there a fix? Anyone have a similar problem? Canadian or northern-state riders might have had experience with this? |

| | Try adjusting the idle speed. To do this locate the idle adjusting knob. You can see it if you look on the right side of your engine tucked right up under the seat. It should be a black knob with spring looking things at the top end of it. Turn it clockwise to get a faster idle and that should help with preventing your machine from stalling. |

| agreed, I'd start by checking the idle speed however the manual says, and also make sure to let the engine warm before moving. In other words, make sure its warmed up and the choke is turned off before riding. A common mistake is to keep the choke on for the first couple minutes of riding. I can't remember exactly why, but its BAD, and I've seen it give people similar problems.
